The Context — The History
Jesus traveled through Galilean towns teaching, preaching, and healing. Large crowds followed Him, creating both opportunity and exhaustion as the needs outpaced available workers.
The Narrative — The Lead-Up
Jesus healed a paralyzed man, called Matthew the tax collector, and answered questions about fasting. He taught about new wine and old wineskins, then looked at the crowds with compassion before speaking of harvest and workers.
