Day 1: One flesh, one Lord
Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
Marriage can drift into roommate mode—shared calendar, separate hearts. Scripture begins with leaving, cleaving, and becoming one.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Oneness is God’s design: loyalty, intimacy, and a new primary household under Him.
