The Context — The History
Peter and John healed a lame man at the temple gate called Beautiful, drawing a crowd in Jerusalem. The early church proclaimed Christ boldly in the city where Jesus had been crucified weeks earlier.
The Narrative — The Lead-Up
After the healing, Peter preached to astonished onlookers, explaining that the God of Abraham had glorified Jesus. He called Israel to repent so sins might be wiped out and times of refreshing come from the Lord.
